Job Description

Are you detail-oriented and enjoy supporting a sales team with order processing and quoting? We're looking for a Sales Support Specialist with 1+ years of experience in order processing, calculating RFQs/RFPs or providing sales support.

Details:

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Location: in office in Minneapolis (not downtown, you have free parking available)
  • Type: Temp-to-hire on permanent
  • Pay: $24-25/hr. depending on experience level

Job Title: Sales Support/Estimator (team of 6 + Manager)

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing RFQs and blueprints to prepare accurate pricing for customer orders. This position involves computing cost and time factors, collaborating with customers and vendors, and maintaining effective relationships to ensure sales volumes and margins.

Responsibilities:

  • Review purchase orders, blueprints, and quality requirements, re-pricing existing jobs.
  • Receive requests for quotes (RFQ) for a product orders through the company website, email or phone
  • Consult with customers, vendors, and other individuals to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
  • Calculate accurate estimates in response to customer orders and RFQs
  • Identify potential vendors or subcontractors.
  • Review data to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers, ensuring sales volumes and margins.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in calculating request for quotes (RFQ) / request for proposals (RFP) or sales support experience - required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints - preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing industry is a huge plus.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Any familiarity of using Workwise (ERP) is helpful but can be taught
  • Strong math skills including decimals, fractions, and metric conversions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail.
